Abby is 5 months old today! She smiles at everything, always gives her daddy a smile when he comes home from work. She has also started scooting around now! She found her foot for the first time on January 18. When I weighed her on Jan 19 she was 12lbs 1oz! Her favorite toys are her Abby Cadaby doll and her seahorse!

Angela turns 34!!
Hard to believe but today is my birthday!!!
This morning I woke up to my baby girl in her crib and got to take a nice mid morning nap! I love naps, especially with Abby! Even though we already have camcorder, Chuck bought me a new digital Sony Handycam that I can take with me everywhere and record some of the different things that we do with Abby. I am really excited to have it because it is so small and I can hold it much easier than the other one we have and it will fit in the diaper bag or a purse once I can use one again. On top of that it uses a memory card and not video tapes!!
Tonight Chuck & I are going to dinner for my birthday. Where, you ask?? My favorite Place ~ The Melting Pot. Abby is with a sitter for the first time, Bev Koebbe, who attends Cornerstone when she is in town. Her daughter is married to our pastor's son. There are very few people that I will entrust my precious baby girl to and I am happy to say that Bev is one of them. I only called home once to check on Abby and she was doing great! She slept nearly the entire time.
It was a year ago today (1/2/09) that we found out I was pregnant with Abby!! NOTHING will ever top last years birthday gift!!! I still remember that morning and always will. My good friend Angie was here doing my hair so that it would look nice for dinner. We were sitting int he bathroom and I was looking at my fertility monitor and I realized that my cycle had not started so I checked it. I think it said 55 days. So after Angie left I took a pregnancy test - it was POSITIVE!!! Oh my gosh!! I was so excited I ran to show Chuck. I then took another test, and it was POSITIVE!! I could not believe what I was seeing because just a few weeks earlier the doctor told me that I was not pregnant. God sure had us fooled. That night we had dinner reservations at The Melting Pot for a fondue dinner and not only celebrated my birthday but being pregnant. All we could talk about was having a baby! We came up with baby names and believe it or not we did not call our parents till the next morning to tell them, we did the next morning, bright and early!!
It was a great day! I'm just glad I will never really look my age!
Oh, one more thing ~ THANK YOU MOMMA!! Today is a special day for you.........your "favorite #1" daughter!!
